KHANCOBAN IS YOUR BASE FOR GREAT VALUE SNOWY MOUNTAINS HOLIDAYS.

Khancoban is perfectly situated at the foot of the Snowy Mountains and Kosciuszko National Park. With mild weather in summer and winter, beautiful mountain scenery and laid back village lifestyle, it is the perfect base for a winter escape or summer adventures.

In the warmer months, swimming, kayaking and waterskiing on the lake are a great way for families to unwind. Well stocked rivers and streams and mountain lakes provide some of Australia’s best fresh water fishing. The view over the water is quite beautiful, especially in autumn when the leaves turn the landscape into a riot of colour.

There are some excellent walks along the lake and a great variety of hikes in the surrounding hills that are accessible in summer or winter, including the Major Clews Hut walk that begins 16 kilometres south of Khancoban.

Kosciuszko Base Camp is just a short walk to local shops, cafe, restaurants, hotel and kids playground and our famous Khancoban Rose Gardens.
